About Might Seeds.

I grow peppers in tents at home in Calgary and save seed from the plants I like. This page covers how I grow, how ordering works, and where the original genetics came from.

The tents

Everything currently for sale was grown indoors in Spider Farmer and Vivosun tents at my place in Calgary. Harvesting ran from late 2025 into early 2026 as pods matured. I hand pollinated when needed and tried to keep clean between varieties. Crossing risk is low but not zero, so I won't pretend it is.

Going outside in 2026

This summer the plants go outside for the season, weather permitting. Anything I save from that harvest will get tagged open pollinated, because outdoor bees don't care what's labelled on the plant tag. I'll always say which year and which setup your seed came from.

Germination

I store seeds dry and dark, but I haven't lab-tested germination. Pepper seeds are slow and fussy at the best of times. I like the paper towel method so I can see germination happen. Squeeze a wet paper towel out until it's just damp. Fold seeds into it. Slip the whole thing into a plastic sandwich baggy. Park it somewhere warm but dark and check on it often. I use a drawer in a central room near a heater vent, the warmest spot in my house.

Ordering

Pick what you want, click "Add", view cart, check out. Fill in your name, email, and Canadian mailing address (street, city, province, postal code). Pick a payment method, pay, done. After your payment lands, I'll post your order within 5 business days.

Stock drops the moment you submit, so two people can't claim the same last packet.

Payment

Three options, pick whichever is easiest:

All prices and totals are in Canadian dollars. No GST or other taxes added.

Shipping

Canada only. Flat $4 Canada Post lettermail in a plain paper envelope, same price anywhere in the country. Free shipping over $15. Lettermail is untracked. Orders go out within 5 business days of payment.

International? Outside Canada and want to try anyway? Email me and we'll figure something out. No guarantees on customs or delivery, and you'd cover any extra postage.

The packets

Seeds come in plain brown paper packets with the variety written on in sharpie. Not fancy. Each packet has the seed count written on it. Clean dry seed, stored away from light and heat.

Where the original seed came from

Most named varieties trace back to Atlantic Pepper Seeds, Pepper Merchant, or Mack's Peppers. I bought the original seed from them, grew the plants, and saved seed. Buy from them if you want certified fresh stock.

Refunds, mistakes

If something goes sideways, get in touch and we'll try to figure something out. If a packet doesn't arrive after 3 weeks, or none of the seeds pop after a fair shot with heat and patience, drop me a line. Partial germination is normal though, plant a few extra.
